Brief Description about the project.

Scope:211 sqm GIA replacement bungalow with mezzanine office
Client:Private client
Contractor:Client project managed
Value:Confidential
Dates:September 2022 – Current

BPB worked with the client to review an existing planning application for a bungalow extension. Following this review a subsequent planning application was submitted to demolish the existing stone bungalow and replace with a timber framed bungalow with additional mezzanine office.

The new dwelling is finished in stone with a feature timber kitchen element and topped with a metal profiled roof. These materials would respect the former stone bungalow and its agricultural setting of metal and timber barns.

The bungalow design provided a generous entrance space that split the 3-ensuite bedrooms to one side and living to the other. The living space provided an open plan kitchen, dining and day space, and large living room. Within the roof/mezzanine level an open plan office would then loo down over the entrance space.

This replacement dwelling has replaced a small bungalow with poor circulation, with a better rationalised home providing for the needs of the owner.
